Background
Information
In Jerry’s career, he was always in the electronics “high tech”
arena. He started several very successful manufacturers rep firms. He started his engineering career in electronics in the
early 60’s working as a Lead Engineer for Boeing in Huntsville, Alabama. He then worked for TRW Systems as a Task Manager
in Houston. During the 70’s he began his sales engineering career working for Teledyne Philbrick as a District Sales
Manager for the Texas area. He then became a partner in Data Marketing Associates in 1971 and continued as a partner until
1980. In 1980 he was founder and co-owner of Acudata, Inc. In 1983 he incorporated another new rep firm by the name of ABCOR
Systems, Inc.
Other achievements
Jerry holds several
degrees, including a Bachelor of Science from Louisiana State University, graduate work in Physics at the University of Louisiana
– Lafayette, and a Master of Science degree in Engineering Physics from the University of Alabama. He is also an active
member of the ERA (Electronics Representatives Association). He is a member of the IEEE, ISA, and Sigma PI Sigma Physics Society.
Current Responsibilities
In 2003 Gerald Bourque took
on a partner, Paul M. Brault and expanded ABCOR Systems, Inc. Acadian Bourque-Brault Corporation. Prior to this business venture,
Paul and Gerald were direct employees for Carlo Gavazzi-Mupac for several years.
Jerry’s current responsibilities
include sales coverage of the Houston, Dallas and Louisiana markets. He also is responsible for the development of new lines
and working with current principals. He operates out of the ABCOR Systems, Inc. headquarters office located in Houston, Texas.
